Description

Festive and refreshing layered fruit and jello cups perfect for 4th of July celebrations, featuring red, white, and blue colors.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 box (3 oz) strawberry or cherry flavored Jell-O
  • 1 box (3 oz) berry blue flavored Jell-O
  • 2 cups boiling water (1 cup per Jell-O flavor)
  • 2 cups cold water (1 cup per Jell-O flavor)
  • 1 cup whipped cream or whipped topping
  • 1/2 cup blueberries
  • 1/2 cup chopped strawberries
  • 1/2 cup mini marshmallows (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the red Jell-O by dissolving it in 1 cup boiling water, then stir in 1 cup cold water. Pour evenly into clear cups to fill 1/3 of each cup. Refrigerate until set (about 1 hour).
  2. Once set, add a layer of whipped cream or whipped topping. Optional: mix in mini marshmallows for extra texture.
  3. Prepare the blue Jell-O similarly, using 1 cup boiling water and 1 cup cold water. Pour over the whipped layer to fill another 1/3 of each cup. Refrigerate until fully set (another hour).
  4. Top each cup with fresh blueberries and chopped strawberries before serving.
  5. Serve chilled and enjoy your patriotic treat!

Notes

  • Use clear plastic cups to show off the colorful layers.
  • Can be made a day in advance and kept refrigerated.
  • Substitute whipped cream with Greek yogurt for a healthier option.
