Description

A simple, no-knead artisan bread recipe with a crispy crust and soft, chewy interior, perfect for beginner bakers.


Ingredients

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon instant yeast
  • 1 1/2 cups warm water


Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix flour, salt, and yeast.
  2. Add warm water and stir until a shaggy dough forms.
  3. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let it rise at room temperature for 12-18 hours.
  4. After rising, turn the dough out onto a floured surface and shape into a ball.
  5. Place the dough on parchment paper and let it rest for 30 minutes.
  6. Meanwhile, preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C) with a Dutch oven inside.
  7. Carefully place the dough (with parchment) into the hot Dutch oven, cover, and bake for 30 minutes.
  8. Remove the lid and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until the crust is golden brown.
  9. Remove from oven and let cool on a wire rack before slicing.

  • You can add herbs, cheese, or garlic to customize the flavor.
  • Make sure the dough has enough time to rise properly for the best texture.
  • Use a Dutch oven for the best crust development.
