- 2 lbs frozen meatballs
- 1/2 cup hoisin sauce
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup rice vinegar
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon grated fresh ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 2 tablespoons sesame seeds (for garnish)
- 2 tablespoons chopped green onions (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, whisk together hoisin sauce, soy sauce, rice vinegar, honey, brown sugar, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, and red pepper flakes.
- Place the frozen meatballs into the crockpot.
- Pour the sauce over the meatballs and stir to coat evenly.
- Cover and cook on low for 4-5 hours or on high for 2-3 hours.
- Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions before serving.
Notes
- You can use homemade meatballs instead of frozen ones if preferred.
- Adjust the spice level by increasing or omitting the red pepper flakes.
- Serve over rice or noodles for a complete meal.
