Description

BBQ Grilled Shrimp Skewers are a quick and flavorful dish featuring succulent shrimp marinated in a tangy barbecue sauce, then grilled to smoky perfection. Ideal for summer cookouts or as a crowd-pleasing appetizer.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1/2 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Wooden or metal skewers

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine barbecue sauce, olive oil, lemon juice, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  2. Add shrimp and toss to coat evenly. Marinate for 15–30 minutes in the refrigerator.
  3. If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for 30 minutes to prevent burning.
  4. Preheat grill to medium-high heat. Thread shrimp onto skewers.
  5. Grill for 2–3 minutes per side, or until shrimp are opaque and lightly charred.
  6. Brush with extra barbecue sauce if desired and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Do not overcook the shrimp; they cook quickly and can become rubbery.
  • Use your favorite barbecue sauce to customize the flavor.
  • Serve with rice, grilled veggies, or a fresh salad for a complete meal.
