Description

A refreshing twist on the classic Italian dessert, this Best Lemon Tiramisu features layers of zesty lemon mascarpone cream and ladyfingers soaked in limoncello syrup for a bright and creamy treat.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 8 oz mascarpone cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp lemon zest
  • 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 24 ladyfingers
  • 1/2 cup limoncello liqueur
  • 1/2 cup water
  • Powdered sugar, for dusting
  • Lemon slices or zest, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, beat the heavy cream until stiff peaks form. Set aside.
  2. In another bowl, combine mascarpone cheese, sugar, lemon zest, lemon juice, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth and creamy.
  3. Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture until well combined.
  4. In a shallow dish, mix limoncello and water.
  5. Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the limoncello mixture and layer them in the bottom of a 9×9-inch dish.
  6. Spread half of the lemon mascarpone cream over the ladyfingers.
  7. Repeat with another layer of dipped ladyfingers and the remaining mascarpone cream.
  8. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  9. Before serving, dust with powdered sugar and garnish with lemon slices or zest, if desired.

Notes

  • Use fresh lemon juice for the best flavor.
  • Adjust the amount of limoncello to your preference or substitute with lemon syrup for a non-alcoholic version.
  • Tiramisu tastes even better after chilling overnight.
