Description
Black Forest Cheesecake Symphony is a decadent fusion of rich chocolate cheesecake, sweet cherries, and a chocolate cookie crust — a luxurious twist on the classic Black Forest cake.
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups chocolate cookie crumbs (such as Oreos)
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/3 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 3 (8 oz) packages cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips, melted and cooled
- 1 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 1 can (21 oz) cherry pie filling
- Whipped cream and chocolate shavings for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 325°F (160°C). Grease a 9-inch springform pan.
- Mix cookie crumbs, sugar, and melted butter. Press firmly into the bottom of the pan. Bake for 10 minutes and let cool.
- In a large bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth. Add sugar and mix until fully incorporated.
- Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla, sour cream, melted chocolate, and flour. Mix until smooth and creamy.
- Pour the filling over the crust and smooth the top.
- Bake for 55–65 minutes or until the center is just set. Turn off oven and leave cheesecake inside with the door slightly open for 1 hour.
- Remove and chill for at least 4 hours or overnight.
- Top the chilled cheesecake with cherry pie filling before serving.
- Garnish with whipped cream and chocolate shavings if desired.
Notes
- Use a water bath to help prevent cracking.
- For a homemade touch, make cherry compote with fresh or frozen cherries instead of canned filling.
- Let all ingredients reach room temperature before mixing for a smoother texture.
