Description

Black Forest Cheesecake Symphony is a decadent fusion of rich chocolate cheesecake, sweet cherries, and a chocolate cookie crust — a luxurious twist on the classic Black Forest cake.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups chocolate cookie crumbs (such as Oreos)
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/3 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 (8 oz) packages cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips, melted and cooled
  • 1 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1 can (21 oz) cherry pie filling
  • Whipped cream and chocolate shavings for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F (160°C). Grease a 9-inch springform pan.
  2. Mix cookie crumbs, sugar, and melted butter. Press firmly into the bottom of the pan. Bake for 10 minutes and let cool.
  3. In a large bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth. Add sugar and mix until fully incorporated.
  4. Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla, sour cream, melted chocolate, and flour. Mix until smooth and creamy.
  5. Pour the filling over the crust and smooth the top.
  6. Bake for 55–65 minutes or until the center is just set. Turn off oven and leave cheesecake inside with the door slightly open for 1 hour.
  7. Remove and chill for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  8. Top the chilled cheesecake with cherry pie filling before serving.
  9. Garnish with whipped cream and chocolate shavings if desired.

Notes

  • Use a water bath to help prevent cracking.
  • For a homemade touch, make cherry compote with fresh or frozen cherries instead of canned filling.
  • Let all ingredients reach room temperature before mixing for a smoother texture.
