Ingredients
- 2 cups broccoli florets, chopped
- 2 cups cauliflower florets, chopped
- 1/2 cup red onion, finely diced
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup cooked and crumbled bacon (optional for vegetarian)
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
- 2 tablespoons sugar (or substitute)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine chopped broccoli, cauliflower, red onion, cheddar cheese, and bacon if using.
- In a separate small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, sour cream, apple cider vinegar, and sugar until smooth.
- Pour the dressing over the vegetable mixture and toss until well coated.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving to allow flavors to meld.
Notes
- For a healthier version, use Greek yogurt in place of sour cream.
- This salad can be made a day ahead for convenience.
- Omit bacon for a vegetarian version.
