Description
A spicy and creamy Cajun Shrimp Pasta loaded with juicy shrimp, bold Cajun seasoning, and a rich cream sauce served over tender pasta.

- 8 oz fettuccine or linguine pasta
- 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
- 2 tbsp chopped parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
- Cook the pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- Toss the shrimp with Cajun seasoning to coat evenly.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, until pink and cooked through. Remove shrimp and set aside.
- In the same skillet, melt butter. Add onion and sauté until translucent, about 3 minutes. Add garlic and cook for another 1 minute.
- Pour in the heavy cream and chicken broth. Stir and bring to a simmer.
- Add Parmesan cheese, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes. Stir until cheese is melted and sauce is smooth.
- Add cooked pasta to the sauce and toss to coat.
- Return the shrimp to the skillet and mix to combine. Cook for 1-2 more minutes to heat through.
- Garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot.
Notes
- Adjust Cajun seasoning to your spice preference.
- You can substitute half-and-half for a lighter sauce.
- Add bell peppers or spinach for extra veggies.
