Description

These Cake Mix Monster Cookies are the ultimate easy treat! Made with cake mix, oats, peanut butter, chocolate chips, and colorful candy-coated chocolates, they’re chewy, sweet, and packed with fun. Perfect for a quick dessert or lunchbox snack, no one will guess how simple they are to make!

Ingredients

  • 1 box (15.25 oz) yellow cake mix

  • 1/2 cup old-fashioned oats

  • 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

  • 2 large eggs

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips

  • 1/2 cup mini M&M’s or candy-coated chocolates

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. In a large bowl, mix together the cake mix, oats, peanut butter, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla until a thick dough forms.

  3. Stir in the chocolate chips and M&M’s until evenly distributed.

  4. Scoop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.

  5. Bake for 9–11 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden and centers are set.

  6. Let cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

  • You can use any flavor of cake mix — chocolate or funfetti also works great!

  • For extra crunch, stir in chopped nuts like pecans or peanuts.

  • Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
