Scale
- 1 lb ground beef (80/20 blend)
- 12 slider buns or dinner rolls
- 6 slices cheddar cheese, halved
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- Salt & pepper, to taste
- 2 Tbsp butter, melted
- 1 Tbsp Dijon mustard (optional)
- Pickles, ketchup, mustard for serving
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix ground beef, onion, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until just combined.
- Form 12 small patties, each about 2 oz, slightly wider than buns.
- Heat a skillet or griddle over medium‑high heat, then cook patties 2–3 minutes per side until lightly browned.
- Place patties on a baking sheet, top each with half a cheese slice, and transfer to oven for 1–2 minutes to melt cheese.
- Meanwhile, split slider buns and brush insides with melted butter (and Dijon mustard if using).
- Toast buns in oven for 2–3 minutes until golden.
- Assemble: bottom bun, cheeseburger patty, pickles, ketchup/mustard, top bun.
- Serve warm, ideally on a platter or with toothpicks to hold together.
Notes
- Make‑ahead: patties can be formed and refrigerated a few hours ahead.
- Variations: swap cheddar for pepper jack or Swiss cheese for a taste twist.
- For juicier sliders, avoid overworking the meat when mixing.
- Use Hawaiian sweet rolls for a softer, sweeter slider experience.
