Description

Cherry Cheesecake Brownies combine rich, fudgy chocolate brownies with a creamy cheesecake layer and swirls of cherry pie filling for an irresistible dessert.


Ingredients

  • 1 box (18-20 oz) brownie mix, plus ingredients listed on the box
  • 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup cherry pie filling

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line a 9×9 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. Prepare the brownie mix according to the package instructions and spread 2/3 of the batter into the prepared pan.
  3. In a separate bowl, beat cream cheese, sugar, egg, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
  4. Spread the cheesecake mixture evenly over the brownie layer.
  5. Spoon cherry pie filling in small dollops over the cheesecake layer. Drop remaining brownie batter in small spoonfuls between the cherry filling.
  6. Use a knife to gently swirl the layers together for a marbled effect.
  7. Bake for 40–45 minutes, or until the center is set and a toothpick inserted comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  8. Cool completely in the pan before slicing. Chill for cleaner cuts, if desired.

  • Use homemade brownie batter if preferred instead of boxed mix.
