Description

Cherry Margaritas are a vibrant and refreshing twist on the classic margarita, made with fresh or frozen cherries, lime juice, tequila, and a splash of orange liqueur. Perfect for summer parties or a festive cocktail night.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 1/2 cups fresh or frozen cherries, pitted
  • 1/2 cup tequila
  • 1/4 cup orange liqueur (like Cointreau or Triple Sec)
  • 1/4 cup fresh lime juice
  • 2 tbsp simple syrup or to taste
  • Ice cubes
  • Lime wedges and salt or sugar for rimming glasses (optional)

Instructions

  1. If rimming glasses, rub a lime wedge around the rims and dip into salt or sugar. Set aside.
  2. In a blender, combine cherries, tequila, orange liqueur, lime juice, and simple syrup.
  3. Add a handful of ice and blend until smooth.
  4. Pour into prepared glasses and garnish with a cherry or lime wedge if desired.
  5. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

  • Adjust sweetness with more or less simple syrup depending on your cherries’ tartness.
  • Use frozen cherries for a slushier texture without needing extra ice.
  • Add a splash of soda water for a lighter version.
