Description

Creamy Chicken Florentine is a rich and flavorful dish featuring tender chicken breasts in a creamy garlic Parmesan sauce with spinach.


Ingredients

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 4 cups fresh spinach
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1/4 cup chicken broth (optional, for thinning sauce)

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper on both sides.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add chicken and cook for 5-7 minutes on each side, or until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté minced garlic for 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Add heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, and Italian seasoning. Stir until the cheese is melted and the sauce is smooth.
  5. Add fresh spinach to the sauce and cook for 2-3 minutes until wilted.
  6. Return the chicken to the skillet and simmer for another 2-3 minutes, spooning sauce over the top.
  7. Serve warm, optionally with pasta or rice.

Notes

  • Use chicken thighs instead of breasts for more flavor and tenderness.
  • Add a splash of chicken broth if the sauce is too thick.
  • Great served over pasta, rice, or mashed potatoes.
