Creamy Mushroom Asiago Chicken is a rich and savory dish featuring tender chicken breasts smothered in a creamy Asiago cheese sauce with sautéed mushrooms and garlic.
Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 8 oz mushrooms, sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 3/4 cup grated Asiago cheese
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Season chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add chicken and cook 6-7 minutes per side, or until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add butter and sauté mushrooms until browned, about 5 minutes.
- Add garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.
- Pour in chicken broth and heavy cream, stirring to combine. Bring to a simmer.
- Stir in Asiago cheese until melted and sauce is smooth.
- Return chicken to skillet and spoon sauce over the top. Simmer for 3-5 minutes to heat through.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
