Description

A delicious and easy slow-cooked version of pizza made in a crock pot, perfect for busy days or casual family dinners.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 lb Italian sausage
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 green bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 (14 oz) jar pizza sauce
  • 1 (8 oz) can tomato sauce
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 (16 oz) package wide egg noodles
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup sliced pepperoni


Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, cook ground beef, sausage, onion, and bell pepper over medium heat until meat is no longer pink. Drain excess fat.
  2. Stir in pizza sauce, tomato sauce, Italian seasoning, and garlic powder. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  3. Meanwhile, cook egg noodles according to package directions; drain.
  4. Spray the crock pot with non-stick spray. Layer half the noodles in the bottom of the crock pot.
  5. Top with half the meat sauce, then half the mozzarella cheese and a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese.
  6. Repeat layers. Top with sliced pepperoni.
  7. Cover and cook on low for 4 hours or on high for 2 hours until heated through and cheese is melted.

Notes

  • You can substitute ground turkey for a lighter option.
  • Add mushrooms or black olives for extra flavor.
  • Great for leftovers and meal prep.
