Description
A delicious and easy slow-cooked version of pizza made in a crock pot, perfect for busy days or casual family dinners.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 lb Italian sausage
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1 green bell pepper, chopped
- 1 (14 oz) jar pizza sauce
- 1 (8 oz) can tomato sauce
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1 (16 oz) package wide egg noodles
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup sliced pepperoni
Instructions
- In a large skillet, cook ground beef, sausage, onion, and bell pepper over medium heat until meat is no longer pink. Drain excess fat.
- Stir in pizza sauce, tomato sauce, Italian seasoning, and garlic powder. Simmer for 5 minutes.
- Meanwhile, cook egg noodles according to package directions; drain.
- Spray the crock pot with non-stick spray. Layer half the noodles in the bottom of the crock pot.
- Top with half the meat sauce, then half the mozzarella cheese and a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese.
- Repeat layers. Top with sliced pepperoni.
- Cover and cook on low for 4 hours or on high for 2 hours until heated through and cheese is melted.
Notes
- You can substitute ground turkey for a lighter option.
- Add mushrooms or black olives for extra flavor.
- Great for leftovers and meal prep.
