Description

A rich and indulgent dark chocolate recipe perfect for snacking or baking, made with just a few ingredients for a pure chocolate experience.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 cup (175g) cocoa butter
  • 1 cup (85g) unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup (120ml) maple syrup or honey
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of sea salt

Instructions

  1. Chop the cocoa butter into small pieces and melt it in a double boiler over low heat.
  2. Once melted, whisk in the cocoa powder until smooth and fully incorporated.
  3. Add maple syrup (or honey), vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt. Whisk until fully combined.
  4. Pour the mixture into silicone chocolate molds or a parchment-lined baking dish.
  5. Refrigerate for 1-2 hours, or until set and firm.
  6. Remove from molds or cut into pieces and store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.

Notes

  • Use food-grade cocoa butter for best results.
  • Adjust sweetness to your taste preference.
  • Add nuts, dried fruit, or sea salt on top before chilling for extra flavor.
  • Store in a cool, dry place to prevent melting.
