- 2 chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 5 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 8 ounces pasta (penne or spaghetti)
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley, for garnish
Instructions
- Cook the pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add the chicken pieces and season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Cook until golden brown and fully cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Remove chicken from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add the heavy cream and chicken broth to the skillet, stirring to combine. Bring to a simmer, and let it cook for 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
- Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until smooth and the sauce is creamy.
- Add the cooked chicken back to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce.
- Add the cooked pasta to the skillet, tossing everything together to combine and coat the pasta with the sauce.
- Serve the pasta in bowls, garnished with chopped fresh parsley. Enjoy!
Notes
- You can substitute the chicken with shrimp for a different protein option.
- For a lighter version, use half-and-half instead of heavy cream.
- Be careful not to overcook the chicken to keep it tender and juicy.
