Description

Easter Dirt Cake is a fun, festive no-bake dessert featuring layers of crushed cookies, creamy pudding, and whipped topping, decorated with Easter candies to resemble a spring garden.

Ingredients

  • 1 package (14.3 oz) Oreo cookies, crushed
  • 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 packages (3.4 oz each) instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 3 cups cold milk
  • 1 container (12 oz) whipped topping (Cool Whip), thawed
  • 1 cup shredded coconut (optional, dyed green for grass)
  • Assorted Easter candies (Peeps, chocolate eggs, gummy worms)

Instructions

  1. Crush the Oreo cookies in a food processor or in a sealed bag with a rolling pin until fine crumbs form. Set aside.
  2. In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese and butter together until smooth.
  3. Add the powdered sugar and mix until well combined.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the pudding mix and milk until it thickens, about 2 minutes.
  5. Fold the pudding mixture into the cream cheese mixture until smooth.
  6. Gently fold in the whipped topping until fully combined.
  7. In a 9×13-inch dish or trifle bowl, layer half of the crushed Oreos, then spread half of the pudding mixture over it.
  8. Repeat with remaining Oreos and pudding mixture.
  9. Top with shredded coconut dyed green with food coloring to resemble grass (optional).
  10. Decorate with Easter candies such as Peeps, chocolate eggs, and gummy worms.
  11. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving.

Notes

  • You can make this dessert a day ahead for convenience.
  • Use chocolate pudding instead of vanilla for a richer flavor.
  • Customize toppings to fit other holidays or themes.
