- 2 ripe bananas, sliced
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- In a skillet over medium heat, melt the butter.
- Add the brown sugar and stir until it dissolves and the mixture starts to bubble.
- Stir in the cinnamon, vanilla extract, and salt.
- Add the banana slices and cook for 2-3 minutes until they are warmed and slightly softened.
- Remove from heat and serve warm over your favorite dessert or breakfast dish.
Notes
- Use ripe but firm bananas to prevent them from becoming mushy.
- This topping is best served immediately but can be reheated gently if needed.
