- 12 oz candy melts or chocolate chips
- Sprinkles or decorations (optional)
- Lollipop sticks
Instructions
- Bake the cake according to package instructions and let it cool completely.
- Crumble the cooled cake into a large bowl.
- Add frosting and mix until the texture is similar to cookie dough.
- Roll mixture into 1-inch balls and place on a lined baking sheet.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour or freeze for 20-30 minutes.
- Melt candy melts or chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals until smooth.
- Dip the tip of each lollipop stick into melted chocolate, then insert into a cake ball.
- Dip cake pop into the melted chocolate, letting excess drip off.
- Decorate with sprinkles if desired before the coating sets.
- Stick upright into a foam block or stand to dry completely.
