Description

These easy crispy air fryer French fries are a healthier alternative to deep-fried fries, delivering a golden, crunchy exterior and fluffy interior with minimal oil.

Ingredients

  • 3 large russet potatoes
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika (optional)

Instructions

  1. Peel the potatoes (optional) and cut them into thin, even-sized fries.
  2. Soak the cut fries in cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch, then drain and pat dry thoroughly.
  3. Preheat the air fryer to 380°F (193°C).
  4. Toss the dried fries in olive oil, salt, pepper, and any desired seasonings.
  5. Place the fries in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Work in batches if needed.
  6. Air fry for 15-20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
  7. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

  • For extra crispiness, do not overcrowd the air fryer basket.
  • Use russet potatoes for the best texture.
  • Soaking the potatoes is key to crispy fries.
