This easy crock pot bread is a no-fuss way to make homemade bread without needing an oven. Soft on the inside with a golden crust, it’s perfect for beginners.

- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) active dry yeast
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 cup warm water (110°F/45°C)
- 1 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let sit for 5–10 minutes until foamy.
- Add flour, salt, and olive oil to the bowl. Mix until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5–7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Shape the dough into a round loaf and place it on parchment paper.
- Line a crock pot with parchment paper and place the dough inside.
- Cover and cook on high for 2 to 2.5 hours, or until the internal temperature reaches 190°F (88°C).
- For a golden crust, place the loaf under a broiler for 2–3 minutes after cooking (optional).
- Let the bread cool for at least 15 minutes before slicing.
Notes
- You can add herbs like rosemary or thyme for extra flavor.
- Check the bottom of the bread for doneness—it should be firm and lightly browned.
- Use a tea towel under the lid to catch condensation for a better crust.
