- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup marinara sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- Fresh basil leaves for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Place the chicken breasts in a lightly greased baking dish.
- In a small bowl, mix olive oil, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Brush the mixture evenly over the chicken breasts.
- Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese over the top.
- Bake for 25 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through.
- Remove the dish from the oven and spoon marinara sauce over each chicken breast.
- Top with shredded mozzarella cheese.
- Return to the oven and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
