- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
- 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon dried rosemary (optional)
- 1 to 1.5 pounds steak (ribeye, sirloin, or flank)
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, whisk together olive oil, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, balsamic vinegar, Dijon mustard, brown sugar, garlic, black pepper, salt, and rosemary if using.
- Place the steak in a resealable plastic bag or shallow dish and pour the marinade over it, ensuring the meat is fully coated.
- Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight for best flavor.
- Remove the steak from the marinade and let it come to room temperature for about 20–30 minutes before cooking.
- Grill or pan-sear the steak to desired doneness, then let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
- This marinade works well with most cuts of beef, especially tougher ones like flank or skirt steak.
- Do not reuse leftover marinade unless boiled first to kill bacteria.
- You can freeze steak in the marinade for a convenient meal prep option.
