Description

A quick and flavorful steak marinade that tenderizes the meat and enhances its rich flavor, perfect for grilling or pan-searing.


Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon dried rosemary (optional)
  • 1 to 1.5 pounds steak (ribeye, sirloin, or flank)

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together olive oil, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, balsamic vinegar, Dijon mustard, brown sugar, garlic, black pepper, salt, and rosemary if using.
  2. Place the steak in a resealable plastic bag or shallow dish and pour the marinade over it, ensuring the meat is fully coated.
  3. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight for best flavor.
  4. Remove the steak from the marinade and let it come to room temperature for about 20–30 minutes before cooking.
  5. Grill or pan-sear the steak to desired doneness, then let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • This marinade works well with most cuts of beef, especially tougher ones like flank or skirt steak.
  • Do not reuse leftover marinade unless boiled first to kill bacteria.
  • You can freeze steak in the marinade for a convenient meal prep option.
