Description

A quick and flavorful stir-fry combining ground beef and fresh broccoli in a savory garlic-ginger sauce, perfect for a weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 4 cups broccoli florets (about 1 medium head)
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp cornstarch mixed with 2 tbsp water (slurry)
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Optional: red pepper flakes or sliced green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat 1 tbsp vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  2. Add ground beef, season with salt and pepper, and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spatula; drain excess fat if needed.
  3. Stir in garlic and ginger; sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Add broccoli florets and remaining 1 tbsp oil; stir-fry for 3–4 minutes until broccoli is bright green and crisp-tender.
  5. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, and sesame oil.
  6. Pour the sauce into the skillet and toss to coat beef and broccoli evenly.
  7. Stir in the cornstarch slurry and cook for another minute or two until sauce thickens.
  8. Adjust seasoning with salt, pepper, or optional red pepper flakes.
  9. Remove from heat and garnish with sliced green onions before serving.

Notes

  • For a keto-friendly version, use low-sodium soy sauce and skip hoisin sauce.
  • Feel free to substitute ground turkey or chicken for beef.
  • Serve over rice, cauliflower rice, or noodles.
  • Prep vegetables ahead of time to speed up the cooking process.
