- 1 prepared angel food cake, cut into cubes
- 1 can (21 oz) cherry pie filling
- 1 package (3.4 oz) instant vanilla pudding mix
- 1 1/2 cups cold milk
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 container (8 oz) whipped topping, thawed
- 1/4 cup sliced almonds (optional, for garnish)
- Fresh cherries (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Cut the prepared angel food cake into bite-sized cubes.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the instant vanilla pudding mix and cold milk for about 2 minutes until thickened.
- Stir in the sour cream until smooth and well combined.
- In a 9×13-inch baking dish, layer half of the angel food cake cubes.
- Spoon half of the cherry pie filling over the cake cubes.
- Spread half of the pudding mixture over the cherry filling.
- Repeat the layers with the remaining cake cubes, cherry pie filling, and pudding mixture.
- Top with the whipped topping, spreading it evenly over the entire surface.
- Garnish with sliced almonds and fresh cherries, if desired.
- Refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight, before serving.

- You can substitute blueberry or strawberry pie filling if desired.
- Make sure the cake is fully cooled before layering.
