Description

A zesty and flavorful homemade Italian dressing perfect for salads, marinades, or drizzling over roasted vegetables.


Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 cup red wine vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl or jar, combine olive oil, red wine vinegar, and lemon juice.
  2. Add Dijon mustard, honey, and minced garlic. Mix well.
  3. Stir in oregano, basil, onion powder, and red pepper flakes if using.
  4. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Whisk or shake the mixture until fully emulsified.
  6. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week. Shake before each use.

Notes

  • Adjust sweetness by adding more or less honey.
  • Use fresh herbs instead of dried for a more vibrant flavor.
  • Let the dressing sit for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow flavors to meld.
