- 1 package (14.3 oz) golden Oreo cookies, crushed
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 16 oz whipped topping (Cool Whip), divided
- 2 packages (3.4 oz each) instant lemon pudding mix
- 3 cups cold milk
- 1 tablespoon lemon zest
- Lemon slices or zest, for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, combine crushed golden Oreos and melted butter. Press the mixture into a 9×13 inch dish to form a crust. Refrigerate to set.
- In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth. Add powdered sugar and beat until combined. Fold in 8 oz of whipped topping and spread over the crust layer.
- In another bowl, whisk together the lemon pudding mixes and cold milk for about 2 minutes until thickened. Spread the pudding over the cream cheese layer.
- Spread the remaining whipped topping evenly over the lemon layer.
- Garnish with lemon zest or slices if desired. Chill for at least 4 hours before serving.
Notes
- Make sure cream cheese is fully softened to avoid lumps.
- For a stronger lemon flavor, add a teaspoon of lemon extract to the pudding mix.
- This dessert needs time to set properly, so prepare in advance.
