Mexican Paletas are refreshing homemade popsicles made with fresh fruit, natural juices, and minimal sugar, perfect for cooling off with vibrant flavors and wholesome ingredients.

- 2 cups fresh fruit (e.g., mango, strawberry, pineapple, watermelon)
- 1/4 to 1/2 cup granulated sugar (adjust to taste)
- 1/2 cup water or fruit juice (e.g., orange juice, lime juice, coconut water)
- 1 tablespoon lime juice (optional)
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Wash, peel, and chop the fruit as needed.
- In a blender, combine fruit, sugar, water or juice, lime juice (if using), and a pinch of salt. Blend until smooth.
- Taste and adjust sweetness if necessary.
- Pour the mixture into popsicle molds, leaving a little space at the top for expansion.
- Insert sticks and freeze for at least 4–6 hours, or until completely solid.
- To release, run warm water over the outside of the molds for a few seconds and gently pull out the paletas.
Notes
- You can leave some fruit chunks for texture if desired.
- Combine different fruits or add herbs like mint or basil for variation.
- For creamy paletas, replace water with yogurt or coconut milk.
