Ingredients

- 1 ear of corn, in husk
- Water (optional, for soaking)
- Butter, to taste (optional)
- Salt, to taste (optional)
Instructions
- Leave the corn in its husk and place it in the microwave.
- Microwave on high for 4 minutes. If your microwave is lower wattage, microwave for 5 minutes.
- Carefully remove the corn from the microwave using oven mitts—it will be hot.
- Let it cool slightly for 1-2 minutes.
- Cut off the base of the corn just above the stem.
- Squeeze from the top to slide the corn out of the husk, which should also remove the silk.
- Season with butter and salt if desired. Serve warm.
Notes
- You can soak the corn in water for 10 minutes before microwaving if you prefer a more steamed texture.
- Adjust cooking time based on your microwave’s power and the size of the corn.
- Use a towel or oven mitt to handle hot corn safely.
