Ingredients
- 2 packs of frozen udon noodles
- 2 tablespoons chili oil (with sediment)
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 teaspoon rice vinegar
- 2 teaspoons sesame oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 green onion, chopped
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional, for extra heat)
- Toasted sesame seeds (for garnish)
Instructions
- Boil a pot of water and cook the frozen udon noodles according to package instructions (typically 2-3 minutes). Drain and set aside.
- In a heat-proof mixing bowl, add the garlic, green onion, sugar, soy sauce, oyster sauce, rice vinegar, and chili oil.
- In a small pan, heat sesame oil until shimmering and pour it over the sauce mixture to sizzle the aromatics.
- Mix the cooked noodles into the sauce, tossing well to coat evenly.
- Top with toasted sesame seeds and additional chili oil if desired. Serve immediately.
