Description

Red, White, and Blue Trifle is a festive layered dessert made with fluffy cake, creamy pudding or whipped topping, and fresh berries—perfect for 4th of July and patriotic gatherings.

  • 1 package (3.4 oz) instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 2 cups cold milk
  • 1 tub (8 oz) whipped topping, thawed
  • 1 cup sliced strawberries
  • 1 cup raspberries
  • 1 cup blueberries
  • Optional: extra whipped topping and fresh berries for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together pudding mix and cold milk for 2 minutes until thickened. Fold in whipped topping until smooth and creamy.
  2. In a large trifle dish or clear glass bowl, layer one-third of the cake cubes on the bottom.
  3. Top with one-third of the pudding mixture, followed by a layer of strawberries and raspberries.
  4. Add another third of the cake, another layer of pudding mixture, and a layer of blueberries.
  5. Repeat with the final layers of cake, pudding mixture, and berries, arranging for a red, white, and blue pattern on top.
  6. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
  7. Garnish with extra whipped topping and fresh berries if desired.
