Description

A rich and flavorful pasta dish featuring smoked salmon tossed in a creamy lemon dill sauce. Perfect for a quick weeknight dinner or an elegant meal.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz fettuccine or pasta of choice
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tsp lemon zest
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh dill
  • 4 oz smoked salmon, flaked
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Parmesan cheese, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  3. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer.
  4. Stir in lemon zest, lemon juice, and Dijon mustard. Cook for 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened.
  5. Add fresh dill and smoked salmon, stirring gently to combine. Heat through.
  6. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
  7. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to coat evenly with the sauce.
  8. Serve immediately, garnished with Parmesan cheese if desired.

Notes

  • Use fresh dill for the best flavor.
  • You can substitute Greek yogurt or crème fraîche for a lighter version of the sauce.
  • Choose high-quality smoked salmon for the best results.
