Ingredients
Scale
Crust
- 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
Jello Mixture
- 1 package (3 oz) strawberry Jello (or any preferred flavor)
- 1 cup boiling water
- 1 cup cold water
Filling
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 cup whipped topping (or homemade whipped cream)
Garnish
- Fresh strawberries, sliced
- Extra whipped topping
Instructions
- Make the Crust: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). In a bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs, granulated sugar, and melted butter. Mix until all crumbs are evenly coated. Press the mixture into the bottom and up the sides of a 9-inch pie dish. Bake the crust for 8-10 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from oven and let cool completely.
- Prepare the Strawberry Jello: In a medium bowl, dissolve the strawberry Jello in 1 cup of boiling water. Stir for about 2 minutes until fully dissolved. Add 1 cup of cold water to the mixture and stir to combine. Let it cool at room temperature for 20-30 minutes until it slightly thickens but remains pourable.
- Prepare the Filling: In a separate bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with powdered sugar until smooth and creamy. Gradually add the cooled Jello mixture to the cream cheese, mixing until fully combined and smooth. Gently fold in the whipped topping, taking care not to deflate it.
- Assemble the Pie: Pour the strawberry Jello filling into the cooled graham cracker crust. Smooth the top with a spatula. Refrigerate the pie for at least 4 hours or until the filling is set and firm.
- Serve: Before serving, garnish the pie with fresh strawberry slices and extra whipped topping if desired. Slice and enjoy your creamy, refreshing strawberry Jello pie!
Notes
- Ensure the Jello mixture is cooled but still pourable before mixing with cream cheese to avoid lumps.
- For best results, chill the pie for a minimum of 4 hours or overnight to allow proper setting.
- You can substitute the strawberry Jello with any preferred flavor to customize the pie.
- Make sure cream cheese is fully softened to ensure a smooth filling.
- Handle the whipped topping gently to maintain a light and airy texture.
