Description

These Strawberry Shortcake Trifles are a delightful and easy-to-make dessert featuring layers of fluffy cake, sweet strawberries, and creamy whipped topping. Perfect for parties or a summer treat.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 pound cake or sponge cake, cut into cubes
  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Mint leaves, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine sliced strawberries and granulated sugar. Let sit for 15–20 minutes to macerate.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form.
  3. In serving glasses or jars, layer cubes of cake, a spoonful of strawberries, and a dollop of whipped cream.
  4. Repeat layers until the container is filled, ending with whipped cream on top.
  5. Garnish with a strawberry slice or mint leaf if desired. Serve immediately or chill until ready to serve.
