Description
A rolled pizza-like bread stuffed with Italian meats, cheeses, and herbs, baked until golden brown and served in slices.
Ingredients
- 1 lb pizza dough
- 4 oz sliced Genoa salami
- 4 oz sliced pepperoni
- 4 oz sliced ham
- 4 oz sliced provolone cheese
- 4 oz shredded mozzarella cheese
- 2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tbsp Italian seasoning
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- Flour for dusting
- Pizza sauce for dipping (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Roll out the pizza dough into a large rectangle on a floured surface.
- Layer salami, pepperoni, ham, provolone, and mozzarella evenly over the dough, leaving a 1-inch border around the edges.
- Sprinkle with Parmesan and Italian seasoning.
- Roll the dough tightly into a log from the long side. Pinch the edges to seal.
- Transfer to the prepared baking sheet seam-side down. Brush with beaten egg.
- Make a few slits on top to vent steam.
- Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Cool for 5–10 minutes, then slice and serve with pizza sauce if desired.
Notes
- You can customize with vegetables or other deli meats.
- Ensure the dough is rolled tightly to prevent leaks.
- Leftovers can be refrigerated and reheated.
- Brush with garlic butter after baking for extra flavor.
