Description

A rolled pizza-like bread stuffed with Italian meats, cheeses, and herbs, baked until golden brown and served in slices.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb pizza dough
  • 4 oz sliced Genoa salami
  • 4 oz sliced pepperoni
  • 4 oz sliced ham
  • 4 oz sliced provolone cheese
  • 4 oz shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tbsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • Flour for dusting
  • Pizza sauce for dipping (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out the pizza dough into a large rectangle on a floured surface.
  3. Layer salami, pepperoni, ham, provolone, and mozzarella evenly over the dough, leaving a 1-inch border around the edges.
  4. Sprinkle with Parmesan and Italian seasoning.
  5. Roll the dough tightly into a log from the long side. Pinch the edges to seal.
  6. Transfer to the prepared baking sheet seam-side down. Brush with beaten egg.
  7. Make a few slits on top to vent steam.
  8. Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until golden brown.
  9. Cool for 5–10 minutes, then slice and serve with pizza sauce if desired.

Notes

  • You can customize with vegetables or other deli meats.
  • Ensure the dough is rolled tightly to prevent leaks.
  • Leftovers can be refrigerated and reheated.
  • Brush with garlic butter after baking for extra flavor.
