Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/4 cup teriyaki sauce
- 4 hamburger buns
- 4 pineapple rings (optional)
- 4 lettuce leaves
- 4 slices tomato
- 4 slices red onion
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix ground beef with salt and pepper and form into 4 patties.
- In a small saucepan, combine teriyaki sauce, soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, and ginger. Bring to a simmer and cook for 3-4 minutes until slightly thickened. Set aside.
- Heat vegetable oil in a skillet or grill pan over medium heat. Cook burger patties for 4-5 minutes per side or until fully cooked.
- Brush patties with teriyaki glaze during the last minute of cooking.
- Toast hamburger buns lightly on the grill or in a toaster.
- Assemble burgers by placing lettuce, tomato, and red onion on the bottom bun. Add the teriyaki-glazed patty and top with a pineapple ring (if using).
- Cover with the top bun and serve immediately.
Notes
- You can substitute ground chicken or turkey for a leaner option.
- Grilled pineapple adds a sweet contrast and enhances the teriyaki flavor.
- For a spicier version, add sriracha mayo or sliced jalapeños.
