A classic Waldorf Salad made with crisp apples, celery, grapes, and walnuts in a creamy mayonnaise dressing, perfect for a refreshing side or light lunch.
Ingredients
- 2 medium apples, cored and chopped
- 1 cup seedless grapes, halved
- 1 cup celery, thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- Salt to taste
- Lettuce leaves, for serving (optional)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine chopped apples, grapes, celery, and walnuts.
- In a separate small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, lemon juice, and a pinch of salt.
- Pour the dressing over the fruit and vegetable mixture and toss to coat evenly.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving.
- Serve on a bed of lettuce leaves if desired.
Notes
- You can substitute Greek yogurt for mayonnaise for a lighter version.
- Use red or green apples depending on your taste preference.
- Toasting the walnuts adds extra flavor and crunch.
